Health Promotion Project

Heath Promotion Project aims to raise awareness on health issues among the Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot women and to encourage them to pursue a healthy and resourceful life.

From a holistic perspective, the project aims to help women to reflect on the relations between physical health and emotional well-being. For that purpose, the project provides individual support and organizes health awareness seminars and support groups. Regarding to that, seminars aim to discuss the themes such as breast and cervical cancer awareness, recent changes and new legislations in health services, alcohol and drug addiction, smoking cessation, family planning, mental health concerns, and illnesses, healthy and balanced eating, sexual health and sexually transmitted diseases.

In addition, the project aims to identify the problems within written material available for our targeted groups, and to make necessary corrections and suggestions accordingly.
