Advice and Information

Advice and Information Project aims to empower the Turkish, Kurdish, Turkish Cypriot women by providing confidential, independent and professional advice and information in Turkish.

Advice is given on the following areas:

  • Welfare benefits
  • Domestic violence
  • Housing
  • Immigration
  • Education
  • Employment

IMECE has Quality Mark of Legal Services Commission and it is exempted from Office of Immigration Services Commission.

We usually work through appointments. However, the project provides drop-in advice for emergencies.

The opening times for advice and information are as the following:

Main Advise 1st floor:

Monday and Thursday: 10 am to 1 pm - 2 pm to 5 pm (only by appointment)

Tuesday and Friday: 10 am to 1 pm (only by appointment)

Drop in days for urgent matters Ground Floor:

Monday and Thursday: 9.30 am to 1 pm. - 2 pm to 5 pm (first come first served)

Domestic Violence Survivors do not have to make appointment to discuss their cases. Under any circumstances, they would be given the priority to receive advice and information.
